Absolute School of English became the 1st in Mongolia to offer TOEFL & IELTS preparation training programs in September 2001.
Since 2003, Absolute has implemented the ETS program in its curriculum.
A course designed for students new to learning English. During this time they will be introduced to basic English grammar and simple vocabulary. Classes are designed to allow learners time to develop strong foundations upon which their future learning will be built.
Following on from level 1, learners have the opportunity to strengthen their understanding of the basic English grammar before moving on to more complex structures. Longer and more challenging reading structures are analysed and a greater emphasis is put on the productive skills.
At this level, students are expected to have a strong command of the language and a wide vocabulary. The focus now turns to more academic language in preparation for the upcoming exam classes. Vocabulary topics become more specialised and with increased focus on speaking and writing, students learn to express opinion and discuss challenging topics.
In the exam preparation classes, students become familiar with IELTS and TOEFL style questions. Test taking techniques are highlighted and learners have the opportunity to experience exam conditions. More time is spent with native speakers. allowing learners to develop confidence in their communication skills.
Speaking and writing workshops are designed to build vocabulary and improve communication.
Reading clubs are held regularly for all levels.
Grammar classes focus on filling gaps in their knowledge, while allowing students to ask specific questions.
These are frequently arranged to encourage students to think more deeply about controversial topics.
Cultural activities introduce students to possible lifestyle challenges they might face when studying overseas.
CV writing, cover letter editing and improving interview skills.
